Bamboula ltd. provides work and income for artisans in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The company purchases handcrafted products directly from artisans at fair prices, and uses the principles of Fair Trade in all of its transactions with the artisan. The selection of products offered by Bamboula Ltd. has been chosen with an eye to style and function for the contemporary consumer. Jasperdean Kobes, the owner, travels to Africa several times a year to work directly with the artisans in the development of new products for the American market. She developed her passion for Africa when she was a Peace corps Volunteer Teacher in Harar, Ethiopia.
